The optimal combination for efficient patient rescue using short and spine boards.
The shortboard is used for the initial immobilization of patients in the tightest of conditions. At 1.2 cm thick and 80 cm long, there are hardly any scenarios in which the shortboard cannot help. In order to then transport patients completely and safely, the shortboard, including the patient, can be placed on the spine board and transported for initial treatment.

Product information "Rescue board SHORTBOARD"

The shortboard is a much shorter version of the well-known spine board, which only immobilizes the patient from the head to the pelvis . It is used primarily for accident rescue, as it can also be used in the tightest of spaces in the interior of the vehicle. Here it is inserted between the seat and the patient's back.

  • Only 1.2 cm thick
  • Only 1.8 kg in weight
  • load capacity of 250 kg
  • Made of wood

This not only protects the patient from work on the seat, but also stabilizes them at the same time. They can then be freed from the accident vehicle using the shortboard and in combination with the spineboard. This is where our shortboard really comes into its own thanks to its extremely thin and curved shape !

  • Due to the curved shape and thin construction (only 1.2 cm!), the rescue board can be placed under the patient more easily and gently
  • The patented shape does not affect the patient's back, minimizing further spinal injuries during rescue
  • Versatile, all-round carrying handles (6 pieces) and mounting holes (2 pieces)
  • Made from highly durable and very light wood (only 1.8 kg) with additional protective layer
  • X-ray transparent (also CT and MRI)
  • Naturally buoyant and water-repellent
  • No discard or lifespan like plastic alternatives
  • Meets CE and NFPA regulations and takes into account common PHTLS and NEXUS principles

The rescue board is manufactured in Spain by Rescate Jota, where it is further optimized together with medical specialists in the fields of general medicine, traumatology and physiotherapy, firefighters and health personnel on four continents. Appropriate accessories for safely securing the patient on the rescue board are also available as an option.
